Behind the Scenes of a Medical Innovation in Cardiovascular Health

At CLEIO, our teams leverage their expertise to bring ambitious medical projects to life. This is the case with the one we have just unveiled: a console for the endovascular treatment of calcified artery disease, which will soon be available on the market.

This cardiovascular pathology is on the rise, carrying serious consequences and posing a major public health challenge. In response to this reality, our collaboration with an innovative company to develop and design the latest version of its cutting-edge console was driven by the desire to make a significant impact on patients’ lives.

We are proud to give you a behind-the-scenes look at this collective success.

The Result of Our Combined Design and Engineering Expertise

All our teams were involved in bringing this significant project to life: from mechanical and electronic engineering to software development, as well as UX/UI design, industrial design, and quality assurance.

Each team contributed its unique expertise to overcome technical challenges and drive innovation. The outcome? An ergonomic console that is user-friendly and adapted for field conditions.

What Helped Us Succeed: On-site Hospital Observations

The observations and evaluations conducted at the hospital were crucial to the success of this project. Immersing our human factors engineering and design teams in the procedure environment allowed us to deeply understand the needs and constraints faced by healthcare professionals.

Thanks to this user-centered approach, we ensure that the console not only represents a technical innovation but also delivers tangible added value in its context of use.

“We went straight to the hospital. For a project like this, for me, and for everyone involved in the design, it was a game-changer. Arriving on-site, you’re introduced to the atmosphere, the environment, and the context. It was very informative, both in understanding how people perceive the product, their interactions with it, and the words they use, and from an ergonomic perspective.”
