Bringing the PolarTrak to Life: A Cross-Disciplinary Journey to Medtech Innovation
In oncology, conventional chemotherapy presents significant challenges, as treatment delivered via the bloodstream often disperses medication throughout the body, causing extensive side effects.
To address this critical issue, Starpax Biopharma developed a groundbreaking technology that combines advanced biological mechanisms with sophisticated magnetic guidance: the PolarTrak. Occupying an entire treatment room, this device enables the direct delivery of cancer treatment into tumor tissues. After initially proving the concept with a smaller prototype, Starpax partnered with CLEIO to develop a full-sized PolarTrak suitable for clinical use in hospital environments.
This ambitious, cross-disciplinary project brought together our Design, Engineering, and Quality Assurance teams to deliver a patient-centered solution, solve complex technical challenges, and ensure regulatory compliance for market approval.
