Designing for Vets: A Modern, Intuitive Anesthesia Ventilator with Dispomed
To address a market gap for a modern, affordable veterinary anesthesia ventilator, Dispomed partnered with CLEIO to develop a user-friendly, production-ready device.
With internal expertise in pneumatic and mechanical systems, but lacking capabilities in electronics, firmware, and UX/UI design, Dispomed relied on CLEIO for end-to-end support, from concept to manufacturing readiness.
By engaging directly with veterinary technicians, we identified key user needs and proposed a turbine-based system that eliminated the need for an external oxygen source, striking a balance between performance and cost. From proof-of-concept to prototype, CLEIO led the full development process, ensuring safety, usability, and clinical relevance through extensive testing.
The result is an intuitive and reliable ventilator, tailored to veterinary workflows and now assembled in-house by Dispomed, with an official launch planned for 2025.
